A little girl sits there alone
Her face a chiseled stone
Coming from a broken home
They've never seen her cry

Weeping from her pain inside
From all the times she's lied
They've become her cyanide
She wishes they'd all die

Tears never fall down her face
She hides them all with grace
It never seems to be her place
To be the one who's sad

Once she ran away
But her mother made her stay
By promising that one day
She would at last be glad

But, she found it wasn't true
Mother still hasn't paid her due
She doesn't have a clue
That there's something to pay

Her mother doesn't have the sight
To see that her baby cries at night
And to her daughter's plight
Ignores all that she'll say

The clouds above crash and boom
Assigning her to a secret doom
Reminding her of her own gloom
A rain threatens to fall

And when the tears fall from her eyes
As if called down from her cries
Another part of her dies
As drops flow down on all

The rain soaks her to her skin
Repenting her of every sin
Even though she'll never win
A crazed smile lights her eyes

She holds an object to her wrist
The knife gives this an awful twist
Her mind doesn't even resist
As she brings her own demise

She brings it down as the clouds crash
And with one large slash
She creates the deadly gash
And she crumples to the ground

What a sight to see
A girl with now no family
She controls her destiny
Now that she's no longer bound

Her skin pales to white
Everyone ignored her plight
Now, dawn ends the night
The clouds turn crimson red

No one saw her daily falling
No one heard her desperate calling
And though she had been stalling
The broken girl is dead

Now no one will ever see that smile
That appeared all the while
To her it was always vile
It was always so fake

But that broken girl had tried too much
Tried so hard to keep in touch
Grasped her life in a desperate clutch
And then began to break

As we look up to the sky
Only she will know why
She decided that goodbye
Was better left unsaid

Once in a while, she would sigh and say
"If only for another day
And if only in another way
Could I live but be dead"
